All classical musicians have been trained to sit the same way for centuries. This better way of sitting creates almost perfect, effortless sitting posture while also taking strain off lower back discs. Easy to do, no fancy chair needed, works great. Here’s how:
Move toward the front edge of your chair and drop one or both knees (doesn’t matter which) below hip level as shown in the picture. You should notice your lower back curving inward a bit more as your shoulders and head move back into a posture that would make Mom proud.
You’ll also notice easier breathing, better energy and alertness.
