Walk > Stand > Sit

Our bodies were designed for near constant motion with bursts of running/sprinting, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying and occasional squatting during the day. Parking ourselves at computers all day for years means weakness, accelerated spinal decay, metabolic problems and more visits to the chiropractor.

At work, make some of these easy changes to reduce this problem.

1) Take phone calls standing.
2) Read reports while walking the halls.
3) Lead or attend walking meetings (and watch meeting time go down while productivity and team cohesiveness go up)
4) If your company provides stand up desks, get one now and use it
